The contestants of the Petronio Álvarez Pacific Music Festival will have the chance to win the Hipólito Pacífico, which is the environmental award for the Unpublished Song that promotes environmental care.

Thanks to the strategic alliance between Ciudad Limpia, the cleaning company of the center and west of Cali, the Secretary of Culture as organizer, and Corfecali as operator of the Festival, and taking into account the great progress made in waste management and environmental awareness in recent years, where a significant reduction in the tons of garbage generated has been achieved.

At the time of registration, each group applies with three songs, one of which is unpublished. The organization of the Festival will review the lyrics of these compositions and will make a first selection of three songs that reflect the care for the environment in its theme, and will also take into account their music.

Once this selection is made, the organization of the festival and Ciudad Limpia, will choose among these 3 songs which will be selected and will leave a jury report and the award ceremony will be held on the last day of the Festival by Ciudad Limpia.

With the Hipólito Pacifico we seek to stimulate the promotion of environmental care from the pacific music, because among the rhythm of the marimba, the caucan violins, the cununos and the chirimia, we also make ours a Clean City.
